Written Summary
Hunter is wearing a dark green cloak, hood pulled low as he walks into a gathering with many others in green cloaks. He sees the Blights on stage and watches their demonstration for their annual private sale. He watches the show for the Abomaton soldier. The butler and servant duties look good, but its clear the young Blight isn't really into the fight until something falls from her sleeve. She then tears the thing apart. Its...a rather disappointing affair.

He leaves with Odalia saying its just a Beta test for next week.

The next scene he's before the Emperor, giving a report that the show wasn't very impressive, but its clear something unexpected happened. He would go again next week for the 'real show,' to see if anything is of worth. Belos says he will trust his opinion on this matter.

He says he's still looking into how much the Blights are for 'private investors' over more important institutions.

There's flashes of him going through his week, giving orders to coven, doing paperwork, going on patrols, studying. Other flashes of him following some well to do people. Some he sends scouts to follow indefinitely.

Finally, he's back in the green cloak. As a note, while working, he is constantly wearing a mask. When he puts on the green cloak, he isn't. Nor any of his finery. He seems to have ditched his entire uniform. The flashes show the Golden Guard definitely gets attention. Him without the gets no attention at all.

He's surprised to see Luz the human on stage, but he's more focused on the merchandise, taking notes of the various weapons as they go through them. Luz is getting beat up. A lot, and using pieces of paper to cast spells somehow.

He makes notes of that too, almost eager, before trying to focus on his Actual Job.

Then the Abomaton 2.0 shows up. Luz, who had been able to hold her own against the weapons, is doing far worse against the Abomaton. The crowd is cheering at the show, Hunter is very intently watching the fight, taking notes on the Abomaton and Luz.

He finds a perch after the Abomaton and Luz come crashing down to keep watching, when suddenly the bored girl from the first demonstration, Amity, shows up. She starts to fight the Abomaton, telling it to stay away from 'her Luz.' There's another note about that.

He watches this fight with much more interest. She's actually trying this time and she's good and the Abomaton is definitely giving her trouble. There's clearly some kind of argument going on, but its hard to hear it over magic fight. Its a little more unsure if Amity threw the fight or if she ran out of magic, but the show is enough for his ends.

He puts away his notebook as he watches Luz and Amity get dragged out of the pit in the ground. He leaves and goes to get change into his uniform, and meets up with the scouts who had been waiting for him. A little show of force is important.

He heads back into Blight Industries, complimenting the Abomatons. And saying no one will be getting their order. The Golden Guard says the Emperor will be buying the entire stock and funding research to make them stronger. Odalia says its great news and starts to say they're honored when the Golden Guard interrupts, saying she should be. Especially as the Emperor doesn't take kindly to citizens making a private army.

He reports back at the castle, telling Belos about the acquisition. Its clear some of the investors were more interested in a means to 'take power' and they're being watched until such a time they can be dealt with quietly. As for the Blights, they wanted connection and power, but ultimately he's confident that between the raise in status, being the Emperor's weapon maker, the money, and the lowkey threat if they try anything traitorous, they should fall in line. They have what they want, and know their actions wont go unnoticed.

But the Abomatons will be good, as long as control is fully transferred as they claimed. It will give him more time to dedicate to his other duties without having to be Belos' bodyguard. They should be a lot better then most of the scouts.

Belos praises Hunter for the dedication and thorough job and even goes so much as pat his shoulder.

Hunter is quite pleased himself.

His name never comes up.
